For many people living with disability, keeping on top of housework can be genuinely difficult. The good news is that the NDIS can fund cleaning support at home for eligible participants — helping you live more comfortably and independently. Here’s how it works.
What is NDIS cleaning?
NDIS cleaning is regular or one-off house cleaning delivered as part of your plan, usually under Assistance with Daily Life. It covers everyday domestic tasks that you’re unable to do yourself because of your disability.
What’s typically covered
- General house cleaning — kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting and vacuuming
- Regular scheduled visits (weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
- Deep cleans and declutter support
- Squalor and hoarding assistance, handled with care and discretion
Who is eligible?
If domestic cleaning is difficult due to your disability and it’s a reasonable and necessary support, it may be funded in your plan. The clearest way to confirm is to check your plan or speak with your plan manager or support coordinator.
Self-managed vs plan-managed
We work with both self-managed and plan-managed participants. As a registered NDIS cleaning provider, we provide clear, itemised invoices that make claiming against your plan straightforward.
How to arrange NDIS cleaning
- Check that cleaning support is (or can be) included in your plan.
- Choose a provider you feel comfortable with — trust and consistency matter.
- Agree on a schedule and the tasks you’d like help with.
- Your provider delivers the cleans and invoices in line with your plan.
Choosing the right provider
Look for a provider whose cleaners are police-checked and trained in respectful, sensitive support — someone who’ll treat your home with dignity and build trust over time. That’s exactly how our NDIS team works.
